The Democratic National Committee (DNC) attacked the Defending the American Dream Summit and AFP. The DNC complained that the Summit had "no representation of African American voters, Latinos, young people, the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendered) community, teachers, organized labor, and even College Republicans. Day 2 was amazing.1st AFP President, Tim Phillips gave an introduction that morning... Focusing on what else, but PORK BARREL SPENDING! Afterwards, Art Pope Introduced Rudy Giuliani. Then we had our very own Senator Tom Coburn speak about earmark reform. Governor Mitt Romney came and gave his campaign speech. Then Dr. Andrew Messenger introduced Representative Ron Paul on to the stage.

AFP-OK on our first day (Thursday, October 4th) visited the nation's capitol building complex and stood outside our congressman building for a conference about the earmark reform discharge petition. Along with 63 fellow Oklahoman's, and more than 1,500 others, we asked our congressman to stop pork and stop careless spending!
