INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Americans for Prosperity-Indiana (AFP-IN) today announced it will host a Facebook live with U.S. Senator Todd Young and AFP President Tim Phillips for a conversation on state bailouts and why Congress needs to reject attempts to bail out states for years of fiscal irresponsibility.
Last week, AFP launched a national grassroots campaign to mobilize grassroots activists against yet another massive federal spending bill. The grassroots group also recently hosted a tele-town halls with U.S. Sens. David Perdue, Ron Johnson, and Rick Scott on state bailouts.

AFP-IN State Director Michael Chartier issued the following statement:
“We’re proud to have Senator Todd Young help lead the charge against bailouts in Washington. Unfortunately, too many politicians want to use this crisis as an opportunity to paper over decades of bad policymaking.
“State bailouts will only fuel the reckless spending and irresponsible decisions that preceded this public health crisis. This will be a great event for activists and attendees to hear how Congress plans to protect taxpayers across the country and ensure they are not taken advantage of.”
