Americans for Prosperity – West Virginia State Director Jason Huffman wrote in a recent Charleston Gazette Mail Op-Ed that lawmakers should be applauded for their effort this past session. West Virginia citizens sent a mega-majority of Republicans to Charleston in a seeming mandate for lawmakers to stop tinkering around the margins and pass bold policy that will improve lives. These commonsense, transformational policies are a clear indicator that our lawmakers are heeding that call.
In 2023 we passed:
- The largest income tax cut in the history of the state (HB 2526)
- The gold standard of open enrollment bills (HB 2596)
- A partial repeal of the CON Law (SB 613)
- The Student Press Freedom Act (SB 121)
