Lynchburg, VA—Yesterday, on Tax Day, Americans for Prosperity-Virginia (AFP-VA) held a rally with activists talking about the importance of renewing the highly effective 2017 Trump tax cuts as part of its Protect Prosperity campaign.
If the Trump tax cuts expire at the end of the year, the average Virginia family can expect to pay over $2600 more in federal taxes—which is a nightmare for many hardworking Americans.
AFP-VA State Director Tim Parrish released the following statement:
“The 2017 Trump tax cuts have given our great Commonwealth’s economy a significantly better opportunity to thrive. Opposing these tax cuts is in no one’s best interest—it will only hurt hardworking Virginia families and the businesses who are still struggling after years of Bidenomics.
“Inflation has already hit families hard, and a bigger tax bill is the last thing we need. One thing is certain: Congress must act now to renew the tax cuts to fuel economic growth, job creation, and higher wages across the Commonwealth.”
