ICYMI: AFP-OH, H.B. 11 Bill Sponsors Champion REINS Legislation on ‘Rock N REINS: The Red Tape Roadshow Tour’
Lewis Center, OH – Yesterday, Americans for Prosperity – Ohio (AFP-OH) held an event as part of their Rock N REINS: The Red Tape Roadshow Tour featuring House Bill 11 sponsors State Rep. Ron Ferguson (R-Wintersville) and State Rep. Brian Lorenz (R-Powell). Reps. Ferguson and Lorenz and Delaware county activists discussed Ohio’s version of the REINS Act, H.B. 11, which will hold government agencies accountable for their regulations, in turn creating more transparency for Ohioans.
This stop comes after the tour’s first stops in Hamilton, Montgomery, and Knox counties, and two more stops are planned this week. In February, AFP-OH provided sponsor testimony to progress H.B. 11, which cuts red tape, enhances government transparency, and defends Ohioans from burdensome government regulations.
AFP-OH State Director Donovan O’Neil released the following statement:
“Ohioans deserve transparency at every level. We’d like to give a special thanks to Rep. Ferguson and Rep. Lorenz, not only for coming out yesterday to discuss the importance of government transparency with activists, but also for sponsoring this critical legislation which will restore the balance of power between the legislative and executive branches and ensure regulatory decisions get voted on by elected officials.
