LAS VEGAS, NV – Yesterday, Americans for Prosperity–Nevada (AFP-NV), the LIBRE Initiative, and Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) hosted a discussion with Nevada leaders, veterans, and industry voices to highlight the need for energy permitting reform to strengthen national security, create jobs, and expand access to affordable reliable energy for Nevada families.
Lt. Governor Stavros Anthony, Nevada Assemblyman and Minority Leader Greg Hafen, and LIBRE Initiative Public Affairs Director Cesar Grajales, urged Sens. Catherine Cortez Masto and Jacky Rosen to act and called for accountability from Rep. Susie Lee for her vote opposing reform in the U.S. House.
AFP-NV State Director Ronnie Najarro released the following statement:
“Rep. Susie Lee is working against the interests of Nevadans by opposing energy permitting reform in the U.S. House of Representatives. Additionally, Senators Catherine Cortez Masto and Jacky Rosen’s unwillingness to take action is doing real damage to Nevada families. The unnecessary red tape and bureaucratic obstruction these lawmakers refuse to address threaten good-paying jobs, weaken our state’s energy independence, and make it harder for Nevadans to access reliable, affordable power.
“AFP-NV is grateful to the state leaders and community members who joined us in this call to action. Our lawmakers must act with urgency to advance commonsense energy permitting reforms that strengthen both our state and our country.”
