ICYMI: AFP Hosts Day of Events Contrasting Failures of “Bidenomics” with Successes of “Reaganomics”

PEORIA, IL – On Tuesday, February 6, President Ronald Regan’s birthday, Americans for Prosperity-Illinois (AFP-IL) held a day of events highlighting how “Bidenomics” is hurting Illinois families. In contrast to Biden’s policies, AFP examined the successes of “Reaganomics” in celebration of former President Reagan’s birthday.

In just three years, the Biden administration has caused energy prices to rise more than 32%, with the average household paying an extra $11,400 each year just to maintain the same quality of life. In Illinois, the average household is paying an extra $11,491 per year. “Bidenomics” has caused higher prices when shopping for everyday items like groceries and gasoline.

At both events, AFP-IL connected Illinoisians to the failed policies of the Biden administration. At Haddad’s Market in West Peoria, AFP gave away $60 gift cards and other swag to help relieve the inflationary impacts of “Bidenomics” on Illinois families.

“We hear it daily speaking to Illinoisans – everyday life is becoming increasingly unaffordable in the Land of Lincoln. From a massive 40-cent/gallon gas tax to Biden’s inflationary agenda, our way of life is under attack,” said Jason Heffley, state director for Americans for Prosperity-Illinois. “This week in Peoria, AFP was able to connect the rising price of groceries to the failures of ‘Bidenomics,’ and voters are sick and tired of the economic uncertainty plaguing this administration.”
