Birmingham, AL—In case you missed it, Americans for Prosperity-Alabama (AFP-AL) recently spoke at the Greater Birmingham Young Republicans (GBYR) March meeting and shared how Alabama families federal tax bill could raise by $2,127 if the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) expires this year.
AFP’s national Protect Prosperity campaign educates voters around the country about savings that are currently in place due to the TCJA and encourages them to take action and contact federal lawmakers to vote for the renewal.
AFP-AL State Director Adam Thompson also spoke to GBYR members about state and local legislative priorities and how they can engage with AFP-AL’s grassroots efforts. “We are working towards state policy reforms on criminal justice, certificate of need, and deregulation to ensure Alabama is a more free and prosperous state for young people like you to succeed,” he said.
GBYR Chairman Vincent Wilhite said, “Thank you, AFP for co-hosting our monthly meeting. I’m excited to see AFP-AL grow and continue to educate and empower Alabamians on ways they can use their voice to make our state and country better.”
