Hattiesburg Community Leader Joins Americans for Prosperity

HATTIESBURG, MS—Americans for Prosperity-Mississippi (AFP-MS) today announced Steven Utroska as its new state director.

“I’m excited to join the Americans for Prosperity team and continue community building across Mississippi,” AFP-MS State Director Steven Utroska said. “I look forward to leading the dedicated AFP-MS team to continue making the Magnolia State the best place to live, work, and raise a family.”

Steven joins the AFP team as an active community member and grassroots activist. He currently serves as President of the Rotary Club of Hattiesburg, is an active member of the Pine Belt Young Professionals, and Director of a grassroots organization that works to remove barriers for Mississippians. Utroska also served on the board of directors for the Mississippi Center for Public Policy, a state-based think-tank.

A fourth generation Mississippian, Steven graduated with a degree in Geological Engineering from the University of Mississippi. Prior to joining AFP-MS, Steven practiced civil and environmental engineering throughout the United States for private clients in both manufacturing and electrical power facilities. Steven and his wife April live in Hattiesburg with their two children, Asher and Adeline.
