Lincoln, NE – Today, Americans for Prosperity (AFP) announced the Nebraska State Director, Matt Litt, will resign from the organization to become Director of Communications and Legislative Affairs for the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) effective Jan. 1, 2018.
“Matt has been an effective state director for AFP and has become a trusted leader among our grassroots activists, a respected advocate for free markets and policies that improve the lives of all Nebraskans, and a friend to all of us. We thank Matt for his service to our organization and wish him well at DHHS, where we know he will show the same commitment to helping people improve their lives.” said AFP President Tim Phillips.
Matt Litt said, “It has been an honor to be a part of the Americans for Prosperity family and I am proud of the accomplishments and efforts of our activists and staff. Over the last five and a half years I have learned a great deal about the way public policy affects an individual’s well-being and opportunity to achieve their version of the Good Life. I am excited to bring this understanding and my experience to DHHS and to help people live better lives as a part of Gov. Ricketts and DHHS CEO Phillip’s team.”
While AFP conducts a search for the next Nebraska State Director, all media inquiries regarding AFP’s activities and policy positions should be directed to AFP Regional Director Brad Stevens at infoNE@afphq.org.
Americans for Prosperity is currently searching for a new Nebraska State Director. Nebraskans with a personal commitment to the values of free market economics and personal freedom are encouraged to apply.
