Grassroots organization names AFP veteran Heather Williamson as State Director.
Salt Lake City, UT—Americans for Prosperity-Utah (AFP-UT), the leading grassroots advocacy organization in Utah with over 23,000 activists, announced Heather Williamson will head the chapter as State Director. Previous state director Evelyn Everton has accepted an opportunity to serve the City of Sandy, UT as Deputy Mayor.
“I am eager to pick up the torch and lead the fight for freedom in Utah,” said Williamson. “We are working towards building a ‘Movement of Millions,’ and that all starts on the ground. We are going to build on the grassroots momentum that exists across the state while promoting the policies that will help keep Utah one of the best states to live, work, and raise a family.”
“I want to thank my friends, family, and colleagues for their support. I especially want to thank Evelyn Everton and Joni Beals. Evelyn led our chapter with integrity and a strong passion for delivering free market victories at the local and state level. Joni has the energy and drive to build a sustainable grassroots army that will help us keep our state heading the right direction.”
Williamson is no stranger to Utah and grassroots activity. She served as Deputy Director to the Utah chapter and has previously served in various roles for the office of Senator Mike Lee.
