Americans for Prosperity Names State Rep. Bud Hulsey ‘Taxpayer Advocate’

Legislator recognized by leading grassroots organization

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Americans for Prosperity-Tennessee (AFP-TN), the leading free market grassroots organization fighting for lower taxes and limited government in Tennessee, named state Rep. Bud Hulsey a “Taxpayer Advocate.”

“Representative Hulsey was a key advocate for taxpayers during the gas tax fight,” said AFP-TN State Director Tori Venable. “He has shown dedication to keeping taxes low for hardworking Tennessee families.”

The Taxpayer Advocate award is given to lawmakers who have distinguished themselves through a consistent voting record supporting economic freedom and fiscal responsibility.

“I’m honored to receive the award and I do my best to keep the taxpayers in mind with every vote I make,” said Rep. Hulsey.
