Americans for Prosperity Unveils Legislative Roadmap: Believe in Arkansas
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Americans for Prosperity-Arkansas (AFP-AR) today announced the launch of its legislative roadmap entitled, Believe in Arkansas. This long-term effort will prioritize policy reforms that help Arkansas grow, create more opportunity, and tackle the state’s greatest challenges.

AFP-AR will focus its legislative priorities on promoting economic opportunity for all Arkansans, improving education for all students, expanding access to quality, affordable health care, and reforming the criminal justice system.
AFP-AR State Director Ryan Norris issued the following statement:
“Folks across the state are ready for transformational change that makes it easier for hardworking Arkansans to provide for their families and allow small businesses to thrive. The Believe in Arkansas policy roadmap focuses on bottom-up solutions to help break barriers and increase opportunity throughout our great state. Our activists are excited to get to work and kick off the upcoming legislative session with a clear vision to advance principled policy solutions to make Arkansas the best state to live, work, and raise a family.
AFP-AR’s Believe in Arkansas focuses on four key priorities:
- Economic Opportunity: Support common sense policy reforms that will unleash opportunity by prioritizing reforms that will help remove barriers to economic mobility and growth and allow more Arkansans to achieve the American dream.
- Educational Opportunity: Break barriers to education by championing policies that increase access to educational opportunities for every student and build a strong foundation for a successful future.
- Improving Access to Quality Health Care: Support sustainable, long-term solutions for health care that Arkansas families can afford and meets their needs.
- Criminal Justice Reform: Promote public safety and support law enforcement. AFP-AR will encourage lawmakers to support smart on crime, soft on taxpayer reforms that will remove barriers to opportunity and provide real second chances to those who have paid their debts to society.
