Americans for Prosperity Statement on Governor Healey’s State of the Commonwealth Address
Boston, MA – This evening, Americans for Prosperity (AFP) responded to Governor Healey’s state of the commonwealth address, highlighting the need for real action to address the ongoing migrant crisis and need for pro-growth policy reforms.
AFP Regional State Director Ross Connolly released the following statement:
“Currently, Bay Staters face the second highest cost of living in the nation and a housing crisis exacerbated by the administration’s disastrous right to shelter laws. Governor Healey’s mishandling of the migrant crisis put our communities at risk and taxpayers on the hook for nearly $2 billion.
“Governor Healey’s vision must be met with real action to address this crisis, as well as address our state’s anti-growth business climate. AFP knows that freedom-focused policies are requires to achieve prosperity. We look forward to working with lawmakers to advance better policies that address housing costs, reduce tax burdens, and increase economic opportunity for all.”
