Americans for Prosperity Praises House Passage of Criminal Justice Reform Bills
COLUMBIA, SC — Americans for Prosperity – South Carolina (AFP- SC) today praised the State House for passing two criminal justice bills.
H 3019 would require arrest records to be destroyed for those arrested by mistaken identity, within 180 days. H 3890 would expunge certain juvenile records.
AFP-SC State Director Candace Carroll released the following statement:
“These bills are a welcome step towards ensuring a justice system that balances dignity and second chances with public safety. I urge the Senate to quickly pass these reforms.”
