ANCHORAGE, AK – Americans for Prosperity, the nation’s largest grassroots organization, announced new leadership for the group’s Alaska state chapter.

Bethany Marcum, who most recently served as CEO of Alaska Policy Forum, will take the helm as the chapter’s new state director.

Marcum is currently a Master Sergeant in the Alaska Air National Guard, where she has served since 2008. Her vast previous experience includes legislative aide for then-Senator Mike Dunleavy, who appointed her to the Alaska Redistricting Board, where she still serves. Marcum has lived in Alaska for more than 25 years and is a perpetual community volunteer.

AFP-Alaska State Director Bethany Marcum gave the following statement after the announcement:

“From grassroots engagement to lobbying in Juneau, AFP has a track record of success here in Alaska. I’m thrilled to join the talented team and help amplify their great work.

“As many Alaskans know, the dangerous trends of Bidenomics have brought increased inflation and skyrocketing energy bills. Here at AFP, we believe there is a better way than partisan gridlock and government overreach. Let’s get to work and reignite the American Dream across the Last Frontier.”
