TOPEKA, Kansas – Americans for Prosperity-Kansas (AFP-KS) has named Elizabeth Patton as the grassroots group’s new state director. Elizabeth previously served as deputy state director for AFP-KS, building the chapter’s signature grassroots infrastructure and engaging Kansans to drive lasting solutions to the state’s toughest challenges.
“I am honored that Americans for Prosperity has tapped me to lead the organization’s efforts here in Kansas. Most importantly I’m proud to elevate the voices of thousands of activists across our state who want to make sure Kansas remains the best state to live, work, and raise their families,” said Patton. “On behalf of our activists I look forward to working with lawmakers, state leaders, and coalition partners to remove barriers that stand in the way of every Kansans achieving their American dream.”
Jeff Glendening served as AFP-KS State Director for seven years. He has been promoted to be the organization’s Director of Political Development.
Elizabeth Patton has been with AFP-KS for two years. Prior to her time with Americans for Prosperity- Kansas, she worked for U.S. Senator Jerry Moran on both official and campaign staff beginning in 2009, finishing as his Deputy Campaign Manager in 2016. She began working in electoral politics in Oklahoma and spent time at the Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs before moving to Kansas. She has worked in both policy and electoral politics in Kansas for many years and is a mom to four kids under the age of seven.
