AFP-Virginia Launches 2021 Legislative Agenda

RICHMOND, Va. – Americans for Prosperity-Virginia (AFP-VA) today released their legislative agenda ahead of the start of the legislative session to highlight their areas of focus. The goal of the agenda is to provide a vision for key policy reforms that will help to remove barriers to opportunity for Virginians.

AFP-VA State Director JC Hernandez issued the following statement:

“After an unprecedented year, it is critical that we unite together to ensure that every person can rise and reach their full potential. Our activists will work alongside lawmakers to change our policies and government for the better in several key areas. The top priority for this session will be labor reform to ensure that we can get Virginians back to work safely so that our economy and people are able to recover stronger and better from the pandemic.”

AFP-VA’s policy priorities during the 2021 legislative session include the following:

1. Getting People Back to Work Safely: Independent Contracting & Protecting Right to Work
2. Care for the Commonwealth: Repealing Certificate of Public Need
3. Justice for All: Policing Reform
