AFP-IN Urges Support for Sunday Sales Legislation

Jan 10, 2018 by AFP

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Americans for Prosperity – Indiana (AFP-IN) today applauded the House and Senate Public Policy Committees for hearing testimony on SB 1, a bill that lifts the state’s Prohibition-era ban on retail Sunday alcohol sales. AFP-IN supports the legislation and encourages both committees to swiftly approve the legislation.

“Indiana’s antiquated liquor regulations subject responsible adults to absurd inconvenience and limit business’s ability to interact with consumers. We have the most restrictive Sunday sales laws in the country,” said Justin Stevens, AFP-IN State Director. “Hoosiers want this Prohibition-era regulation off the books. We applaud the Senate for embracing free-market principles and allowing businesses and people to decide when and where they want to shop for legal products. We urge both chambers to act swiftly and move this legislation toward law.”
