COLUMBIA, SC – Last night, the South Carolina Senate passed the Small Business Regulatory Freedom Act (H. 3021) with unanimous support. Americans for Prosperity-South Carolina (AFP-SC) has been a strong champion of this bill and held a press conference in January with small business owners to encourage legislators to get this bill passed this session.
AFP-SC State Director Matt Humm released the following statement:
“We are now one step closer to having the Small Business Regulatory Freedom Act become law in South Carolina. H. 3021 will crucially make it easier to start and run a small business in the state. It will simplify the more than 80,000 regulations currently on the books, while ensuring essential regulations remain. We look forward to seeing this bill through to the finish line and to continuing to fight to make life better for South Carolinians.”
