PHILADELPHIA, PA – U.S. Representative Ro Khanna, a Democrat from California, arrived in Philadelphia on Monday for a speaking tour across the Keystone State ahead of his likely campaign for president in 2028.
AFP-PA, as the largest grassroots organization in the largest swing state, criticized Rep. Khanna for attempting to spin California’s failed, far-left policies as a path forward for Pennsylvanians who have soundly rejected his brand of progressive politics.
Emily Brey, AFP-PA state director, gave the following statement:
“Pennsylvanians are used to visits from presidential hopefuls, and we’re good at voting down candidates who push anti-growth economic policies, green energy scams, and failed tax schemes.
“Every day, AFP-PA hears from voters concerned about the cost of living and the job market. They aren’t interested in a multimillionaire from California pushing higher taxes. Rep. Khanna’s politics belong in Silicon Valley, not the Lehigh Valley.”
