OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Eight candidates for the Oklahoma Senate and House of Representatives endorsed by Americans for Prosperity-Oklahoma (AFP-OK) all won their races tonight, following the organization’s months of daily canvassing and door-to-door advocacy in their districts.
AFP-OK purposely endorsed a variety of candidates, including both incumbents and non-incumbents, to ensure that Oklahomans have more principled leaders in the state government who are ready to cut taxes and rein in the administrative state.
Sen. Dave Rader (SD-39), Kelly Hines (non-incumbent, SD-47), Emily Gise (non-incumbent, HD-90), and Rep. Max Wolfley (HD-95) all won their general elections.
Joining them in the state legislature next year are Sen. Micheal Bergstrom (SD-01), Dr. Julie McIntosh (non-incumbent, SD-03), Sen. Julie Daniels (SD-29), and Rep. Denise Crosswhite-Hader (HD-41), who ran unopposed after winning their primary and primary runoff races.
John Tidwell, AFP-OK State Director, gave the following statement:
“Tonight’s victories are a massive victory for the Oklahoma taxpayer, who sent a clear message to the capitol that they want less government in between them and their lives.
“While the results are in, AFP-OK is not going to rest on our laurels. We’re hitting the ground running into the next legislative session to help these leaders deliver on tax reform and solve the cost-of-living crisis in Oklahoma.
“We’re deeply grateful for the months of hard work from our activists and volunteers across the Sooner State, who reached out to over 53,000 voters and spent countless hours urging Oklahomans to support these candidates.”
