AFP-OH Provides Proponent Testimony on HCR 8 in Government Oversight Committee
Columbus, OH — Today, Americans for Prosperity–Ohio (AFP-OH) testified in support of House Concurrent Resolution 8 (HCR 8) during its second hearing before the House Government Oversight Committee.
HCR 8 urges Ohio’s Congressional delegation to support making the Trump’s 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) permanent. AFP-OH has been a staunch advocate for this resolution, recognizing its potential to provide long-term tax relief for Ohio families and businesses.
AFP-OH State Director Donovan O’Neil delivered the testimony, emphasizing the importance of the TCJA’s provisions in fostering economic growth and stability. He released the following statement:
“Trump’s 2017 Tax Cuts have been instrumental in reducing tax burdens and spurring economic activity. Making these provisions permanent will ensure continued prosperity for Ohioans.
“Backed by a coalition of more than 40 organizations, we’re calling on Ohio’s congressional delegation to take action—and sounding the alarm on the potential consequences for over 4 million Ohioans who could see substantial tax hikes if the TCJA is allowed to expire.”
