CONCORD, NH – Americans for Prosperity-New Hampshire (AFP-NH) today commended the House for their bipartisan support of House Bill 1648, a bill that would remove criminal penalties for cannabis possession and allow for limited home grow cultivation for Granite Staters over the age of 21. The House passed the bill with overwhelming bipartisan support, 236-112.
Americans for Prosperity-New Hampshire (AFP-NH) Deputy Director Ross Connolly issued the following statement:
“Removing criminal penalties for adult possession of cannabis is a sensible step for our state considering every neighboring state has some form of legalization. We thank the House for passing this bill and helping law enforcement focus on more serious threats to our communities. Granite Staters deserve to have to the cannabis prohibition lifted and we urge the Senate to pass this without delay.”
