Concord, NH — After months of advocacy, testimony, and grassroots organizing, Americans for Prosperity-New Hampshire (AFP-NH) applauds the passage of HB 1735, legislation that expands New Hampshire’s existing Right to Try law to cover patients with severe illness.
AFP-NH Deputy State Director Sarah Scott said:
“New Hampshire took an important first step last year when we passed Right to Try for terminally ill patients. Today, HB 1735 builds on that progress by expanding that same hope to patients battling chronic and debilitating illnesses to pursue treatments that could save their lives. These reforms will continue to position the Granite State as a destination for medical innovation and the investment that follows it.
“When someone has exhausted every approved option, they deserve the right to keep fighting. Today, that right becomes law in New Hampshire. AFP-NH is proud to have fought alongside the patients, families, and advocates who made this possible, and we are honored to have played a part in getting it across the finish line.”
