Concord, NH—Today, Americans for Prosperity New Hampshire (AFP-NH) issued glowing praise for the state’s legislature in standing firm to protect recent educational reforms that have given Granite State students greater educational options and individualized pathways for success.
The legislature rejected measures that would repeal or weaken the state’s Education Freedom Account (EFA) program. Similar attempts to limit the Learn Everywhere initiative also failed. Additionally, the legislature passed reforms that benefit homeschoolers and increased eligibility for participants in the tax credit scholarship program.
AFP-NH Director of Grassroots Operations Sarah Scott issued the following statement:
“We’ve heard from hundreds of parents and students and the message is clear. New Hampshire’s Education Freedom Accounts are doing exactly what they are supposed to do: New Hampshire students now have access to educational options that were once only available to children of wealthy parents. They have the latitude to earn credit for learning outside the classroom, and their parents are confident that they are giving their children the opportunities they need to succeed. I applaud the legislature for protecting and expanding these programs so they can continue to work for Granite State children.”
