AFP-NH Commends House Passage of HB 155, Reducing Business Enterprise Tax

CONCORD, N.H. – Today, Americans for Prosperity-New Hampshire (AFP-NH) released the following statement following the House passage of House Bill 155. This legislation will reduce the rate of the Business Enterprise Tax (BET) from 0.55% to 0.5%, starting in the 2027 calendar year.

Sarah Scott, AFP-NH deputy state director, gave the following statement:

“The Granite State welcomes employers, and the reduction of the Business Enterprise Tax (BET) from 0.55% to 0.5% ensures local small businesses can continue to grow and thrive. The passage of HB 155 sends a clear message that New Hampshire is open for business and strengthens our competitiveness. We urge the Senate to consider this legislation to ensure employers stay and invest here.”
