AFP-NC: Americans for Prosperity Names Chris McCoy New North Carolina State Director

RALEIGH, N.C. – Americans for Prosperity-North Carolina (AFP-NC) on Wednesday announced Chris McCoy as the new state director. McCoy previously served as senior field director.

“I am honored that Americans for Prosperity has entrusted me with leading the organization’s grassroots efforts in the great state of North Carolina. I look forward to building on past successes to break down barriers to opportunity for all North Carolinians,” said McCoy. “Most importantly, I’d like to thank the activists who trust Americans for Prosperity to be their voice in the fight for lower taxes, more economic prosperity, and greater freedom.”

Chris McCoy was born in Greensboro and graduated from Ragsdale High School in Jamestown. He has more than a decade of grassroots experience in North Carolina, having held several positions on various campaigns throughout the state as well as having served as both political director and executive director of NC Young Republicans. Chris has been with Americans for Prosperity since September of 2016, and most recently served as senior field director. He lives in Mooresville with his wife, three kids, and two Bluetick hounds.
