AFP-MI to Slotkin: “Cost of Living Crisis is Not a Win for Workers”

Sep 2, 2024 by AFP

Detroit, Michigan—Today Michigan Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin joined President Biden, Vice President Harris, and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for a Labor Day stop in Detroit.

Americans for Prosperity-Michigan State Director Tim Golding issued the following statement after the Congresswoman’s appearance:

“While Congresswoman Slotkin is telling Michiganders about all this Administration’s supposed ‘wins,’  Michiganders have been struggling to make ends meet. Contrary to the talking points from the Biden-Harris Administration, this cost of living crisis is not a win for workers.

“Slotkin’s voting record puts her squarely on the side of out-of-control government overreach and inflationary spending. Michigan’s Democrats have shown Michiganders what they can expect under their leadership: fewer rights for workers, fewer dollars in their pockets, and fewer opportunities. AFP-MI will continue to educate Michiganders on the economic impacts of the Biden Administration’s policies and scale Michiganders’ voices to advocate for better policy solutions that will put Michigan—and the nation—back on the path to prosperity.”
