AFP-MI to Buttigieg: “Michigan’s Communities Aren’t Strengthened by Inflationary Spending”
Lansing, Michigan—Today Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg visited the Upper Peninsula to as part of the Biden-Harris Administration’s “Investing in America” Tour.
Americans for Prosperity-Michigan Deputy State Director Tim Golding issued the following statement as the Transportation Secretary toured the state:
“Secretary Buttigieg is back in Michigan, parroting the same tired talking points to hard-working taxpayers who have heard the same weak platitudes from President Biden, Vice President Harris, and Senators Stabenow and Peters. Buttigieg and his compatriots keep pretending that the economy has recovered, even as they try to blame everyone else for the inflation that’s caused a cost-of-living crisis.
“Michigan’s communities aren’t strengthened by inflationary spending. Michigan’s communities are clamoring for politicians in Washington to listen to them and take action on the kitchen table issues that Democrats in have been sweeping under the rug. Michiganders cannot afford to be ignored any more.”
