AFP-MI Praises House Plan to “Fix the Damn Roads”
Lansing, Michigan—Today Michigan House Speaker Matt Hall introduced a package of bills to responsibly fund much-needed highway improvements without raising taxes on Michiganders.
Americans for Prosperity-Michigan applauded republican members of the Michigan House for the solutions-oriented approach and State Director Tim Golding issued the following statement:
“Speaker Hall and Michigan House Republicans should be commended for putting forward a workable solution to funding our state’s highway maintenance without asking for millions more out of Michiganders’ paychecks.
“It’s refreshing to see any part of the Michigan legislature doing the hard work of legislating and putting taxpayers first. We hope that the Michigan Senate will consider this alternative and work together on maintaining our state’s infrastructure.”
