LANSING, MI — Americans for Prosperity-Michigan (AFP-MI) today announced its endorsement of Jason Tunney in the February 3 special election for Michigan’s 35th State Senate District.
AFP-MI State Director Tim Golding released the following statement:
“Jason Tunney understands what Michigan families are facing and has put forward serious, practical solutions to help them get ahead. From expanding educational opportunities to promoting energy reliability and affordability, Jason’s record shows a clear commitment to strengthening Michigan’s economy and protecting taxpayers. AFP-Michigan is proud to support his candidacy.”
Tunney supports policies that expand opportunity and strengthen Michigan’s economy, including school choice, reliable and affordable energy, and tax reforms that attract investment and jobs. He has pushed to repeal Michigan’s energy mandates, open the electric market to competition, and advance critical infrastructure like the Line 5 tunnel, while opposing costly carbon mandates that raise prices and stall development. Tunney also backs lowering Michigan’s income tax rate and defending the Headlee Amendment to protect taxpayers.
