BATON ROUGE, La. – Americans for Prosperity-Louisiana (AFP-LA) released a statement Monday commending the House for approving HB 748. The bill would revamp the state’s occupational licensing laws and restore accountability by ensuring licensing boards are using the “least restrictive” regulation while maintaining consumer safety.
“We commend the House for voting to reform our archaic licensing system that has deterred Louisianans from working for years,” said AFP-LA State Director John Kay. “This common-sense reform will empower residents to fulfill their desire to work and provide for their families while maintaining consumer safety. We look forward to the swift passage of this bipartisan bill in the Senate.”
