Baton Rouge, LA – Americans for Prosperity–Louisiana (AFP-LA) released the following statement in response to ongoing discussions surrounding education funding and teacher compensation.
AFP-LA State Director Scott Simon released the following statement:
“If spending has gone up, enrollment has gone down, and teachers are still not seeing the benefit, then the issue isn’t a lack of funding—it’s a system that isn’t delivering results. Education dollars are far too often absorbed by a system that does not prioritize students, families, and teachers. That is exactly why Louisiana must rethink how it funds education.
“Education dollars should follow the child, reward results, and create accountability. AFP-LA is committed to working with lawmakers to ensure teachers and students are supported by a system that works for them and delivers results.”
