AFP Issues Coalition Letter of Support for the Financial CHOICE Act

AFP Vice President of External Affairs Chrissy Harbin issued the following statement on the Financial CHOICE Act:
“We’re proud to support Congressman Hensarling’s efforts to roll back some of the worst Dodd-Frank provisions, while also reining in the unaccountable Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to ensure they only enforce rules on the books. The misguided Dodd-Frank package raised the cost of lending, shrank access to capital for small businesses, and made credit more scarce for investors and homebuyers. Many of the provisions of the Financial CHOICE Act begin to undo these harmful effects, and we hope the Financial Services Committee will consider its many good provisions.”
