AFP-IA Congratulates Helena Hayes on Primary Victory

OTTUMWA, IA — Americans for Prosperity-Iowa (AFP-IA) congratulates Helena Hayes on advancing to the general election to represent Iowa’s 88th House District.

AFPIA endorsed Hayes for her reputation as a fierce advocate for education, energy and regulatory policies that cut red tape and reduce government overreach. Hayes was a critical partner in passing Education Savings Accounts (ESAs) and opposing Right of First Refusal proposals that would raise utility prices for hardworking Iowans.

AFPIA has been in the district, engaging in grassroots outreach in favor of Hayes’ campaign.

Following the primary results, AFPIA State Director Tyler Raygor issued the following statement:

“AFP-IA congratulates Helena Hayes as she continues her campaign to represent Iowa’s HD-88. Iowans want leaders who will fight for fiscal restraint, educational freedom and limited government, and Hayes will step up to the plate.

“AFP-IA is proud to support her re-election and looks forward to November.”
