DES MOINES, IA — Americans for Prosperity-Iowa (AFP-IA) congratulates State Rep. Carter Nordman on securing renomination in the Republican primary election for Iowa House District 47.
Earlier this year, AFP‑IA announced its support of Nordman’s re‑election campaign, touting his legislative record and positions on issues including taxation, government spending and economic policy. Since then, AFP‑IA has engaged in grassroots outreach in favor of Nordman’s campaign.
Following the primary results, AFP-IA Coalitions Director and former HD-47 Representative Phil Thompson issued the following statement:
“AFP-IA congratulates Carter Nordman on his hard-fought victory in the primary election for HD-47. Iowans want leaders who will fight for fiscal restraint, educational freedom, and limited government.
“Carter Nordman is a proven champion for Iowans, and AFP-IA is proud to support his re-election so that Iowans can continue to benefit from his leadership at the helm of the House Ways and Means Committee.”
