Atlanta, GA – Stephen Allison has been named the new Georgia director for the grassroots group Americans for Prosperity – Georgia. Allison moved to Lawrenceville in 1979 and has called Georgia home since childhood. In 1993, Allison graduated from the Virginia Military Institute with a Bachelor’s degree in History and is a graduate of John Marshall Law School. As a former lawmaker, Stephen Allison served in the Georgia House of Representatives for four terms. While in office, he carried legislation that made the budget process more transparent to taxpayers and championed educational freedom.
“I am excited to join Americans for Prosperity – Georgia and look forward to working with the team to transform our state,” said Allison. “Now more than ever, we need to focus on breaking down barriers to opportunity and focus on building up our communities. We are willing to work with anyone to do good and that means growing our team of grassroots activists, reforming our broken criminal justice system, and opposing corporate welfare. AFP-GA believes in principled policy over partisan politics and we look forward to working within our communities and with lawmakers to make Georgia the best place to live, work, and raise a family.”
Stephen and his wife Regina reside in Blairsville and have two sons.
