Atlanta, Georgia—Today the Georgia House of Representatives joined the Georgia Senate in passing a bill to improve the Peach State’s business environment by stabilizing the state legal system and reducing costly and frivolous lawsuits that makes it harder and more expensive to run and start businesses.

Americans for Prosperity-Georgia (AFP-GA) praised the vote and State Director Tony West issued the following statement:

“Governor Kemp’s vision to further elevate the state’s legal and business environment is not only astute, but timely. As lawmakers across the country are starting to seriously look at structural barriers to economic growth, Georgia is leading the way with reforms that will increase Georgia’s competitiveness and attract investment.

“Between making it easier and more affordable to obtain necessary business insurance and reducing frivolous litigation, Georgia is sending a clear signal: The Peach State is open for business.”
