AFP, Freedom Partners Issue Memo on Need for Federal Right-to-Try Legislation

Arlington, Va. –  Americans for Prosperity and Freedom Partners Chamber of Commerce continued its campaign urging Congress to act on federal Right to Try legislation by issuing a memo today addressing concerns expressed by House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Greg Walden, and others, about acting on federal Right to Try legislation. Currently, this legislation awaits passage by Rep. Walden’s committee before it can advance to a full vote in the House, where it would likely pass with overwhelming bipartisan support.

Background:

Americans for Prosperity is urging Congress to pass legislation that would allow thousands of terminally ill patients to access potentially life-saving treatment and medication. Known as Right to Try, this federal legislation would give hope to families and patients facing the direst circumstances.

AFP is partnering with Freedom Partners Chamber of Commerce to highlight the importance of this legislation and is calling on Congress to seize this crucial opportunity to save lives.
