AFP-Florida Launches Campaign Thanking Lawmakers for Expanding Education Options and Empowering Teachers

Tallahassee, FL – Americans for Prosperity-Florida (AFP-FL), the state’s leading advocate for education freedom and labor reforms, is launching a mail and digital campaign thanking Florida lawmakers who voted for HB7055, a bill to expand education freedom and empower teachers in collective bargaining process. The group has launched a direct-mail campaign thanking the lawmakers in their home districts.

AFP-FL Coalitions State Director Chris Hudson released the following statement:

“Teachers and students should be empowered with every tool possible to succeed. HB7055 achieved two important policy priorities by creating the Hope Scholarship to let more kids to attend the school of their choice and empowering teachers with a greater voice in the collective bargaining process. We thank Governor Scott for acting quickly to make HB7055 law and applaud the efforts of Speaker Richard Corcoran, Senate President Negron, and principled Florida lawmakers for working together on common sense solutions.”

AFP-FL is scoring votes on HB7055 in their annual Economic Freedom scorecard. The group will educate Florida citizens from the Panhandle to the Keys about which lawmakers supported policies to make Florida the best state to live, work, and raise a family.
