New Rule Will Help to Grow American Economy
Arlington, VA – Americans for Prosperity today commended the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on its approval of a rule designed to reduce the regulatory burdens associated with deploying 5G networks throughout the country. The FCC’s new rule streamlines the process for building the infrastructure necessary to support the 5G network and clarifies that states and cities cannot place exorbitant regulatory fees on construction.
Americans for Prosperity Policy Manger David Barnes issued the following statement:
“Removing barriers to development in the 5G network is critical to the future of American technological growth. It makes no sense to regulate small 5G devices as if they are hundred foot cell towers. Clearing the path to build a 5G network will allow the next generation of mobile technology to provide greater value for all of society and we applaud the FCC for taking this step forward.”
