AFP Commends FCC Vote Reducing Regulatory Burdens on 5G Networks
New Rule Will Help to Grow American Economy
Arlington, VA – Americans for Prosperity today commended the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on its approval of a rule designed to reduce the regulatory burdens associated with deploying 5G networks throughout the country. The FCC’s new rule streamlines the process for building the infrastructure necessary to support the 5G network and clarifies that states and cities cannot place exorbitant regulatory fees on construction.

“Removing barriers to development in the 5G network is critical to the future of American technological growth. It makes no sense to regulate small 5G devices as if they are hundred foot cell towers.
