DENVER, CO — The Americans for Prosperity Colorado Issue Committee (AFP-CO Issue Committee) today launched a significant mail and digital campaign in support of November’s Proposition 121 initiative, a measure that aims to reduce the state income tax rate for individuals and corporations from 4.55% to 4.40%.
The ads, both digital and traditional print mail, coincide with AFP-CO’s statewide fiscal responsibility campaign, which includes support for the Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights (TABOR).
AFP-CO State Director Jesse Mallory issued the following statement on the campaign:
“Coloradans are facing some of the highest inflation in the nation and are being forced to dig deep into their savings just to maintain the status quo. Proposition 121 is a commonsense ballot initiative that will provide much-needed relief to hardworking families and individuals across the state.
“The AFP-CO Issue Committee’s campaign represents our steadfast dedication to fiscal responsibility and standing up for taxpayers’ rights.”
BACKGROUND:
An analysis by Colorado’s Common Sense Institute found the ballot initiative will save taxpayers $767 million the first year after implementation.
