JUNEAU, AK – Today, Americans for Prosperity (AFP) announced new leadership of its Alaska chapter, bringing seasoned policy professionals to the state’s premier grassroots advocacy organization ahead of the 2027 legislative session.
Kevin Greene will be AFP-AK’s new state director. He is an eight-year veteran of AFP’s state operations teams and over a decade of experience in public policy, which he will use to ensure the growth of the chapter’s activist and volunteer base and drive transformational reforms at the state capitol.
“AFP-AK has always worked tirelessly to put Alaskans first and make sure our great state remains on the path to greater freedom and prosperity,” said Greene. “I’m honored to lead this dedicated and principled team to keep the American Dream alive in the Last Frontier.”
Jared Goecker, a current member of the Anchorage Assembly representing the Chugiak-Eagle River community, will be AFP-AK’s new deputy state director. Goecker has served in numerous political and campaign positions in Alaska, including the office of the governor and the Alaska Division of Personnel and Labor Relations.
“I’ve seen firsthand what can happen when people care about their community, understand the issues, and are willing to put in the work,” said Goecker. “That’s what I’ve always respected about AFP: they understand the power of grassroots engagement and know how to turn it into real results. I’m excited to join the team, build on the work already happening here, and engage even more Alaskans in shaping the future of our state.”
