Americans need a pro-worker agenda for the 21st century. It’s time to empower workers to chase opportunity, not ask permission from unions or government.

Institute for the American Worker (I4AW) Releases “How To Empower Workers” Report, authored by AFP Employment Fellow Austen Bannan. In response to an ever-evolving modern economy and rising calls by many leaders to double down on dated labor laws that advance top down governmental and union power, I4AW released a new report presenting an alternative pro-worker agenda that expands choice and opportunity to those who need it most – America’s workers.

On November 10, 2025, Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Chairman Bill Cassidy (LA) announced a new pro worker labor reform agenda, which also includes legislation introduced by Senators Tim Scott (SC) and Tommy Tuberville (AL). This follows two labor law reform committee hearings on October 8 and 22, 2025 discussing the need for more choice and transparency for workers.

The Employee Rights Act (ERA) is the top opportunity in Congress to unlock prosperity for American workers in the 21st century.

Ahead of a June 7 deadline, Americans for Prosperity Foundation (AFPF), submitted a public comment in support of the Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM) civil service reform rule referenced as Improving Performance, Accountability and Responsiveness in the Civil Service, (RIN 3206-AO80), as published at 90 Fed. Reg. 17,182 (Apr. 23, 2025).
