Pete Lund serves as State Director for the Michigan chapter of Americans for Prosperity.
Pete is a long-time political activist. Starting as an intern in President Reagan’s re-election campaign, he has been active on all levels of activism. In his home county of Macomb, he has been on the GOP Executive Committee for over 20 years.
Most recently Pete was in the Michigan House of Representatives where he was consistently rated as one of the most conservative members. He served as Chairman of several committees, but might be best known for serving as the Campaign Committee Chairman for the GOP where he lead the caucus to a historic 20 seat gain in 2010.
On his road to Lansing, Pete was a small businessman, starting a successful mail house business out of his basement. Lund also spent time in academia; for almost 20 years Pete was an Adjunct Professor of Economics and Finance at Walsh College.
Pete and his wife, Dr. Karen Potchynok-Lund, have two daughters. Pete graduated from Adrian College with majors in Economics and Political Science and he has an MBA from Wayne State with a concentration in Finance.
