AFP-SC surpasses 116,000 voter contacts as sole grassroots effort behind key state races
SPARTANBURG, SC— Americans for Prosperity-South Carolina (AFP-SC) announced its support of State Rep. Roger Nutt and State Sen. Josh Kimbrell to serve in the State Senate, putting the force of its grassroots base behind the candidates leading up to November.
Throughout this election cycle, AFP-SC has made more than 116,000 overall voter contacts for more than a dozen candidates it has endorsed with aligned values to make South Carolina freer and a better place to live, work, obtain an education, and raise a family.
AFP-SC State Director, Matt Humm, released the following statement:
“Making South Carolina the freest state in the South starts with a strong legislature, ready to take on tax reform, education freedom, deregulation, access to health care and more. AFP-SC is thrilled to put our grassroots support behind two more principled leaders, adding to our endorsed candidates who can drive policies in our state that make us competitive in the region.”
New Endorsed Candidates
State Sen. Josh Kimbrell (SD-11)
Senator Kimbrell will be a policy champion on tax reform when re-elected. He has been a proven leader on key issues such as regulatory reform, education freedom, expanding the health care market by repealing Certificate of Need, judicial reform, and more.
State Rep. Roger Nutt (SD-12)
In the House, Rep. Nutt has proven his leadership on legislation that matters to families in the state. By pushing for major tax cuts and supporting education freedom, it’s a clear choice that he continues representing constituents’ needs by moving to the Senate. AFP-SC looks forward to working with him on energy, regulations, and health care bills.
