Wichita, KS—Recently, Americans for Prosperity-Kansas (AFP-KS) held its second grocery store giveback event where $60 gift cards were given to 100 shoppers to help offset the rising price of food ahead of the holiday season.
AFP-KS has given out a total of $12,000 in grocery store gift cards to community members between November and December in response to the Bidenomics’ impact on inflation.
AFP-KS Deputy State Director, Jonathan Lueth, made the following statement:
“We were thrilled to be joined by Mayor-elect Lily Wu and many Kansans who were relieved to receive help footing their grocery bills which have been increasingly unaffordable for many Americans.
“Since President Biden took office, grocery prices have risen over 20%, costing Americans an average of $60 more to feed their families. Our team was glad to have conversations with folks in Wichita and provide a form of help heading into the holiday season.”
