Bottom Up Solutions to Safely Reopening Our Economy
Our country faces a long road to recover from COVID-19 and the ensuing shut down. Nearly every community is dealing with hardships created by the virus and blanket shutdowns. Tens–of–millions have filed for unemployment. It’s crucial that leaders draw on best practices from those who’ve innovated to continue safely providing the goods we rely on as they make decisions about reopening our economy.
We’ve seen businesses large and small come alongside government to address challenges and meet needs. They’re doing this while protecting employees and customers without mandates or regulations. From shifting operations to make masks and ventilators, to implementing new protocols like staggered shifts and curb side pickup, businesses are on the front lines of fighting this crisis. Our decision makers need to be informed by the experiences of folks on the front line as they chart our path forward.
To help do that, Stand Together, part of the same philanthropic community as AFP, launched a collaborative resource gathering best practices from businesses across sectors who’ve adapted their operations to meet public health and safety requirements while continuing to provide goods and services we rely on.
