CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Americans for Prosperity-West Virginia (AFP-WV), today, announced its first two state legislative endorsements for the 2024 West Virginia primary. In the Republican Primary for State Senate District 15, AFP-WV endorses Senate President Craig Blair. In State Senate District 16, AFP-WV endorses Senator Patrica Rucker.
“Both Senate President Blair and Senator Rucker have been instrumental in some of the biggest policy wins in recent history. President Blair led the way on the largest tax cut in the state history this last session while Senator Rucker was instrumental in spearheading the enactment of the nation’s first universal ESA. Thanks to her tremendous work in West Virginia, this major reform is now sweeping the nation”, said AFP-WV State Director Jason Huffman. “We are more than proud to call both policy champions and support their efforts for re-election.”
AFP-WV has been instrumental in adopting some of the most transformational legislation in recent memory. As the country’s premier grassroots organization, AFP possesses a unique advantage to empower activists and embolden principled lawmakers to rapidly adopt policies that are proven to expand freedom and opportunity for all West Virginians.
“We have a good track record of being a real difference maker in competitive elections because of our permanent grassroots infrastructure. We look forward to working with our staff and activists across the state to make it clear to voters that President Blair and Senator Rucker will continue to make West Virginia a better place to live, work and raise a family,” Huffman said.
